After a couple of years of the pandemic, the Suvilahti venue is once again actively hosting a variety of music events. On the second weekend of November, electronic music fans are in for a treat when the Unruled Indoor Weekender comes to Tiivistämö.
Suvilahti’s Tiivistämö will transform into a hub of flashing lights on November 11–12, as the venue hosts the two-day Unruled Indoor Weekender techno festival. The festival is coming to Finland for the first time in 2022 and will bring both international and Finnish artists to Suvilahti.
Two days of techno in Suvilahti’s urban setting
Unruled Indoor Weekender is based on a Dutch concept that has previously been used to organize events in other countries. The event organizer is Unruled Events, which recently established itself in Finland. The company’s founders Silvani Taus and Remon Verhoeve traveled across Europe during the pandemic with the aim of developing the Unruled concept. The collaboration with Helsinki that took place at that time bore fruit, and the company sought a more permanent home for itself in Helsinki.
Suvilahti was chosen as a fantastic location for Unruled events. “Suvilahti is known to be a wonderful area, and Tiivistämö was the perfect venue for us,” says Anastasija Issaeva, event producer at Unruled Events, resident DJ, and one of the weekend’s artists.
She notes that before the pandemic, Tiivistämö hosted a huge number of electronic music concerts. “It’s great that live events are here to stay again and that we get to enjoy electronic music in the artistic setting of Suvilahti.”

Big Names in Electronic Music
The festival brings together some of the biggest names in electronic music from around the world. Tiivistämö will feature 14 artists from six different countries, including as many as seven performers from Finland.
This year’s lineup includes Juliet Fox, Oskar L, and Ronnie Spiteri. Finnish acts include Orion, Milla Lehto, and Martin K4rma.
“We’re very excited about this year’s lineup,” says Issaeva.
