Housing Company Introduction
Every Finn has the right to good housing and equal membership in society. A central location and easy access to services are especially important for people with developmental disabilities. A new supported housing facility was completed in Helsinki’s Kalasatama neighborhood in the fall of 2015.
Named Kipparintalo, the building has 14 rental apartments as well as shared living and kitchen areas. The building was constructed by Savulaiset ry in collaboration with S-Asunnot, the City of Helsinki, and the Department of Social Services and Health Care.
