Housing Company Introduction
Completed in December 2016, Leonkatu 21 is located on the corner of Sörnäistenlaituri in the Kalasatama neighborhood. Trendy Kalasatama is one of Helsinki’s fastest-growing neighborhoods and is ideal for those who appreciate an urban and modern setting, the sea, and a location that offers easy access to all parts of Helsinki.
The building has 7–8 stories and a total of 63 apartments. Apartment sizes range from studios to larger units, and there are various floor plans to suit many tastes. The apartments feature large windows that let in plenty of light. The ground-floor apartments have private terraces, which were finalized upon completion of the courtyard deck in the fall of 2018. All other apartments have balconies, either French-style or spacious, glass-enclosed balconies spanning the entire width of the apartment. The top floor of the building features four unique, two-level apartments: two studios and two four-room apartments. The sea is visible through the windows of some of the apartments, and from the top floors, you can admire the entire Kalasatama area all the way to the lights of downtown.
The apartments feature oak-toned laminate floors and white-painted walls. The kitchens have white cabinets and light sand-colored countertops, and are equipped with a built-in oven and ceramic cooktop, a dishwasher, and a fridge-freezer. The larger apartments have a separate refrigerator and freezer. The bathrooms have gray-toned tiled floors and one accent wall; the other walls are covered in white tile.
Common areas include a community room and a sauna area. There are 29 parking spaces with heating outlets under the courtyard deck. A grocery store located on the building’s ground floor makes everyday life easier.
