Housing Company Introduction
Completed in 2018, Ariel in Helsinki comprises a total of 44 Hitas-regulated owner-occupied apartments. Ariel is located on the western edge of the Dirika block along Arielinkatu, across from Kalasatamanpuisto Park. The 5- to 7-story apartment building forms an architectural pair with the previously completed As Oy Helsingin Studio. Some of the apartments have their own sauna. All apartments have a glassed-in balcony or rooftop terrace, some of which can be enclosed.
The first floor houses a laundry room, a civil defense shelter, storage rooms, and storage areas for outdoor equipment. The second floor features a community room opening onto the block courtyard. The sixth floor features a rooftop terrace, a sauna area, and a gym. The block’s shared play and recreation area is located in the center of the buildings on the deck courtyard. Parking spaces are located beneath the courtyard deck.
As Oy Helsingin Ariel is a short walk from both the tram and the metro; the tram runs along Junonkatu, which runs alongside the block, and the stops are about 150 meters away. The distance to the Kalasatama metro station is approximately 450 meters.
