Debut Music School, which moved to Kalasatama in February 2024 Debut Music School offers music lessons for all ages and skill levels. Founded by Angelina Andreichik, the music school provides private and group piano lessons as well as preparation for music exams. Lessons are available in Finnish, English, and Russian, both in person and online.
How and when did the company get its start?
The story of Debut Music School began four years ago in Jyväskylä. I have worked as a piano teacher internationally for over 18 years—in Finland, Russia, and China—and have been performing for 27 years. I have also competed in international performing arts competitions. I have had over 200 students throughout my career. My passion for music extends to a desire to share my skills with others—that is why I decided to found a music school.
I believe in a conscious approach to teaching, one in which the student can eventually read sheet music independently and work on pieces on their own. A personalized program is created for each student, taking their individual wishes into account.
What is Kalasatama like as a location for a business?
When my husband and I moved to Helsinki, Kalasatama turned out to be an inspiring area and an ideal location for a music school as well. Here, urban life blends with nature, and
Helsinki is constantly developing the area, which attracts both younger and older residents. The area boasts not only a well-developed infrastructure but also a charming atmosphere. We have tremendous opportunities to expand our target audience in the area through music education.
What do you think still needs to be developed in the area?
Kalasatama could have more attractions and, for example, a public swimming pool. Swimming facilities could attract more people to the area and create new business opportunities. Right now, you have to go all the way to Kallio, Itäkeskus, or Vuosaari to go swimming.
“We have tremendous potential to expand our target audience in the area through music education.”

What future plans does the company have in store?
We plan to expand our range of services and create an even better and more inspiring learning environment for our students. We also plan to hire new teachers for high-quality group instruction. Among other things, we’re exploring ways to develop music classes and integrate music into the development of preschool-aged children.
We want to support the next generation in developing their skills and help everyone find the inspiration they need to succeed in the world of music. Our students regularly participate in music competitions and festivals and perform in concerts at schools. Debut Music School isn’t just a place to learn to play the piano—it’s a place where musical skills and dreams are nurtured.
Debut Music School is located at Aallonhalkoja 11.
