A new lingerie store has opened on Tukkutorinkuja in Kalasatama.
The lingerie store LingerElla opened its doors on Tukkutorinkuja in Kalasatama on August 3. The store, located near Red, has deep roots: it has moved to Kalasatama from Tikkurila, where it was originally founded over 35 years ago.
Owner Elina Ahola—aka Ella—says the new location was chosen because of the beautiful retail space and Kalasatama’s appeal. “Kalasatama is a truly vibrant and diverse area. The proximity to the sea also adds to its charm,” she describes.
A Wide Range of Customers
The store has invested in spacious fitting rooms and personalized service. Ahola explains that LingerElla’s customers range in age from about 20 to 90 and come in all sizes. She emphasizes that everyone is welcome to find lingerie for themselves or as a gift. The majority of the products are women’s lingerie, but the store also sells items such as men’s boxer shorts.
According to Ahola, LingerElla’s products are of the highest quality, and the owner is very particular about their origin. “All products are ethically and ecologically produced, and we always ensure we have the necessary certifications,” she says.
Positive Feedback
The lingerie store has been warmly received in the area. According to Ahola, the new store has sparked interest among locals and people who work in the area. In particular, the store’s premises have received positive feedback, and people are delighted that high-quality lingerie has arrived in Kalasatama.
According to the owner, the store will host various events in the future, such as ladies’ nights or themed gatherings, where guests can learn about stylist tips or color analysis, for example, while enjoying a glass of sparkling wine.
